During the construction process of steel silo. It is important to select and install the proper auxiliary equipment to improve the working efficiency and achieve the best benefit. There are four common categories of auxiliary equipment: the entry and exit equipment( the conveying equipment), the material handling equipment, the material detection and management equipment, and the electric control equipment.Different auxiliary equipment have their unique usage
The entry and exit equipment
The entry and exit equipment is also known as the conveying equipment. There are two kinds of transportation ways in the transportation process of the material stored in the steel silo: vertical transportation and horizontal transportation.- The vertical transportation process mainly adopts a bucket elevator and a vertical stranded auger. The number of equipment is determined by the scale and technological requirement. We should take the operation process of multi purpose and few lifting times into consideration.
- The horizontal transportation mainly uses a dragline, air cushion belt conveyor and buried scraper conveyor. Horizontal transportation is suitable for long distance transport and silos with more feed but less outlet. Air cushion belt conveyor is formed by tail frame and middle section, the middle section part is an air box, gas compartment by machine groove and curved hole plate, run by a high pressure fan blowing air intake box, blowing out from the arc hole plate, an air cushion is formed between the arc belt hold hole plate and belt, bearing materials.
Material handling equipment
There are two types of material handling equipment: gasification equipment and dust removal equipment.The design of gasification equipment is to meet the high efficient discharge of large steel silo. To discharge large steel silos, it is very important to design and custom a proper steel silo gasification tube system. The discharging rate also depends on the layout of the gasification tube. A scientific system design will not only save cost but also save energy, the discharging rate can reach 98%.
When the exhaust pressure is less than 100kpa, you need a roots blower. The roots blower has a wide range of volume flow and can provide oil free air.
To keep the cleanliness of the working environment, you need a dust removal equipment. The dust removal equipment can help to improve the working condition and prevent dust explosion. Exhaust inlet is set up at the head discharge port, the tail inlet, the first cleaning screen, the automatic scale, the belt conveyor and so on. In all parts of the conveying system, the dust removal pipes are connected with the dust removal equipment.
Material detection and management equipment
Check the temperature and humidity of the material stored in the silo. Take necessary measurement when it is necessary during the use of steel silo to ensure the safety of the material. These measurement can be: cooling of material, transfer stored material to another silo and other measurement. The steel silo requires to be equipped with corresponding ventilation system, temperature measurement and humidity measurement system and thermal insulation system.Electric control equipment
The steel silo is now control and under monitor of the PLC control system. The electronic control equipment is used to control the working state of the whole steel silo system. These auxiliary equipment are not all necessary for all steel silos. There are many factors to choose to install different auxiliary equipment. For example, the grain silo must be equipped with dust removal equipment, cleaning equipment and fumigation equipment, temperature measurement and moisture measurement equipment. The silos such as cement and fly ash must be equipped with gasification equipment, temperature measurement and humidity measuring equipment, etc.The installation of auxiliary equipment is depend on actual needs.
